I am a matrimonial lawyer with a busy and stressful litigation practice. I am also "a woman of a certain age" who has degenerative arthritis of the hip joints and spine, left rotator cuff damage and a variety of minor physical symptoms of encroaching age.
Since no small parts replacements for the body are easily available, I have been working out at noon on weekdays with Ken Rex since 1991. I have gone from a size 12-14 back to my college weight and size 8-10. My energy levels, especially in the afternoon, have exponentially increased, I play tennis without pain and I sleep like a log. In fact, the only time I do not feel well is when I miss my work-outs.
Personal Energy is a comfortable and very relaxed environment. There are no gals in spandex to make me feel depressed! I have made many good friends who have become an extended family. Ken and the staff communicate their enthusiasm and positive approach so that my work-out is the high point of my days.
There are no limits to what we can do with commitment and discipline.

I started at personal energy as the proverbial couch potato. On my first day I wasn't sure I would last, but I really enjoyed the people, the training and the comfortable atmosphere so I kept coming back. Before I knew it I was hooked and now I can't imagine not working out.
What's best about Personal Energy is that it's fun. Really. Not only are the trainers great people, but the other folks working out with and around you are all friendly and easy going. The non-threatening atmosphere helped me get started and now it's like hanging out with one big family.
As my needs changed, Ken was always right there with a new program or set of exercises that kept me going so I could work out despite a back problem, a broken ankle and bum knee. Because of his help I haven't missed a day and I'm always able to do something to keep in shape.
Perhaps my best experience (and a good example of how great this place is) was when I asked Ken help me develop a program so I could start running, something I had literally dreamt of for years but never ever been able to do. Well, he did, and in short order I was running four, five (and once even 10) miles, several times a week.
I really can't say enough about how great this place is and what an incredible difference it — and the people there — have made in my life.
